इसी समय राजकुमार उत्तर बड़े हर्षके साथ स्वच्छन्दतापूर्वक नगरमें आये। मार्ममें उनके ऊपर उत्तम गन्ध और भाँति-भाँतिके पुष्पहार बरसाये जा रहे थे ।।

Transliteration

vaishampāyana uvāca | sabhājyamānaḥ pauraiś ca strībhiḥ jānapadais tathā | āsādya bhavanadvāraṃ pitre sampratyavedayat ||

Translation

ವೈಶಂಪಾಯನನು ಹೇಳಿದರು—ಪಟ್ಟಣವಾಸಿಗಳು, ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರು ಹಾಗೂ ಜನಪದದ ಜನರಿಂದ ಗೌರವಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟು ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಉತ್ತರ ರಾಜಕುಮಾರನು ರಾಜಭವನದ ದ್ವಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದು ತನ್ನ ಆಗಮನವನ್ನು ತಂದೆಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿಸಿದನು।
