Adhyāya 6: Kaṅka (Yudhiṣṭhira) Seeks Refuge in Virāṭa’s Assembly
पाशं धनुर्महाचक्रं विविधान्यायुधानि च । कुण्डलाभ्यां सुपूर्णाभ्यां कर्णाभ्यां च विभूषिता
pāśaṃ dhanurmahācakraṃ vividhāny āyudhāni ca | kuṇḍalābhyāṃ supūrṇābhyāṃ karṇābhyāṃ ca vibhūṣitā ||
ಅವಳು ಪಾಶ, ಧನುಸ್ಸು, ಮಹಾಚಕ್ರ—ಹೀಗೆ ನಾನಾವಿಧ ಆಯುಧಗಳನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿದ್ದಾಳೆ; ಸುಂದರವಾಗಿ ತುಂಬಿದ ಕುಂಡಲಗಳಿಂದ ಅಲಂಕೃತವಾದ ಅವಳ ಕರ್ಣಯುಗಲವು ಅವಳ ಶೋಭೆಯನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse underscores that true authority and protection are grounded in auspicious, disciplined power: the weapons symbolize the capacity to restrain harm (pāśa), defend righteousness (dhanus), and uphold cosmic order and sovereignty (cakra).
Vaiśampāyana continues a vivid description of a radiant, goddess-like figure, highlighting her divine armaments and ornaments to convey majesty, protective strength, and sacred presence.
