सा च मुक्ता गदा गुर्वी कृपेण सुपरिष्कृता । अर्जुनेन शरैरनुन्ना प्रतिमार्गमथागमत्,जिसका सुवर्ण आदिसे भलीभाँति परिष्कार किया गया था, वह कृपाचार्यद्वारा चलायी हुई भारी गदा अर्जुनके बाणोंसे प्रेरित हो उलटी लौट गयी
sā ca muktā gadā gurvī kṛpeṇa supariṣkṛtā | arjunena śarair anunnā pratimārgam athāgamat ||
ವೈಶಂಪಾಯನನು ಹೇಳಿದರು— ಕೃಪನು ಎಸೆದ, ಸ್ವರ್ಣಾದಿಗಳಿಂದ ಸುಂದರವಾಗಿ ಅಲಂಕರಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಆ ಭಾರೀ ಗದೆ ಅರ್ಜುನನ ಬಾಣಗಳಿಂದ ಪ್ರತಿಹತವಾಗಿ, ಬಂದ ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲೇ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿ ಹೋಯಿತು।
