भानुमन्ति विचित्राणि शूरसेव्यानि भागश: । सवज्ायसगर्भ तु कवचं तत्र काउ्चनम्
bhānumanti vicitrāṇi śūrasevyāni bhāgaśaḥ | savajāyasagarbha tu kavacaṃ tatra kāñcanam ||
ವೈಶಂಪಾಯನನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—“ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗಭಾಗವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಕಾಶಮಾನವಾದ, ವಿಚಿತ್ರವಾದ, ವೀರರು ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸಬಹುದಾದ ವಸ್ತುಗಳು ಇದ್ದವು; ಅವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಅಂಗಸಂಪನ್ನವಾದ ಬಂಗಾರದ ಕವಚವೂ ಇತ್ತು.”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights the Kṣatriya ethic of readiness and propriety: heroic life involves maintaining worthy arms and armor, and resources are to be arranged and apportioned in an orderly way (bhāgaśaḥ), reflecting discipline and responsible stewardship rather than mere display.
Vaiśampāyana describes the presence of splendid, hero-worthy martial items, specifically noting a golden coat of mail among them—part of a broader depiction of weapons/armaments being kept, shown, or apportioned in the episode.
