इदमारोपितं ब्रह्मन् किमन्यत् करवाणि ते । तस्य रामो ददौ दिव्यं जामदग्न्यो महात्मन: । शरमाकर्णदेशान्तमयमाकृष्यतामिति
idam āropitaṁ brahman kim anyat karavāṇi te | tasya rāmo dadau divyaṁ jāmadagnyo mahātmanaḥ | śaram ākārṇadeśāntam ayam ākṛṣyatām iti
“ಬ್ರಾಹ್ಮಣನೇ! ಇದು ಏರಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ; ನಿನಗಾಗಿ ಇನ್ನೇನು ಮಾಡಲಿ?” ಆಗ ಮಹಾತ್ಮ ಜಾಮದಗ್ನ್ಯ ರಾಮನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ದಿವ್ಯ ಬಾಣವನ್ನು ನೀಡಿ—“ಇದನ್ನು ಕಿವಿಯವರೆಗೂ ಎಳೆ (ಪೂರ್ಣ ಆಕರ್ಷಣ ಮಾಡು)” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
लोमश उवाच
The verse highlights disciplined use of power: even a divine weapon is to be handled with precise instruction and restraint (drawing only to the proper measure), reflecting ethical control over martial capability.
Lomaśa narrates a scene where an implement has been readied; then Paraśurāma (Rāma Jāmadagnya) bestows a divine arrow and instructs that it be drawn to full draw—up to the ear—signaling readiness and mastery in archery.
