Prācī-diś Tīrtha-kathana
महर्षीणामिदं गुह्ां सर्वपापप्रमोचनम् | अधीत्य द्विजमध्ये च निर्मल: स्वर्गमाप्तुयात्,यह महर्षियोंका गोपनीय रहस्य है। सब पापोंका नाश करनेवाला है। द्विजमण्डलीमें इस गंगा-माहात्म्यका पाठ करके मनुष्य निर्मल हो स्वर्गलोकमें पहुँच जाता है
maharṣīṇām idaṁ guhyaṁ sarvapāpapramocanam | adhītya dvijamadhye ca nirmalaḥ svargam āpnuyāt |
ಪುಲಸ್ತ್ಯನು ಹೇಳಿದರು—ಇದು ಮಹರ್ಷಿಗಳ ಗುಹ್ಯೋಪದೇಶ; ಸರ್ವಪಾಪಪ್ರಮೋಚನ. ದ್ವಿಜರ ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇದನ್ನು ಅಧ್ಯಯನ ಮಾಡಿ ಪಠಿಸಿದರೆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ನಿರ್ಮಲನಾಗಿ ಸ್ವರ್ಗಲೋಕವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಾನೆ.
