घुलस्त्य उवाच
The verse highlights the dharmic value of tīrtha—places of sanctity that are approached with reverence, restraint, and purity of intent. Such pilgrimage is presented as a means of moral and spiritual cleansing and of aligning oneself with widely honored tradition.
The speaker addresses a Kuru king/prince with honorifics and identifies a particular pilgrimage site: the renowned tīrtha associated with the great-souled Kapila and the Nāgarāja. It functions as guidance within a broader context of describing sacred places and their significance.
