घुलस्त्य उवाच
The verse underscores the sanctifying power of a tīrtha: when gods and accomplished sages repeatedly gather there, the place becomes a living center of puṇya, encouraging disciplined conduct (tapas) and dharmic life as the means to spiritual merit.
The speaker is describing the greatness of a particular sacred ford, stating that Brahmā, other deities, and austere sages assemble there every month, indicating its exceptional holiness and the recurring, ritually significant visitation of divine and ascetic beings.
