भवत: प्रियमित्येवं महद् व्यसनमीदृशम् । धर्मकामे प्रतीतस्य प्रतिपन्ना: सम भारत
bhavataḥ priyam ity evaṁ mahad vyasanam īdṛśam | dharmakāme pratītasya pratipannāḥ sma bhārata ||
ಓ ಭಾರತ! ನೀ ಧರ್ಮವನ್ನು ಬಯಸುವವನೆಂಬ ಕೀರ್ತಿ ನಿನಗೆ. ನಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರಿಯಾಭಿಲಾಷೆ ನೆರವೇರಲೆಂದು ನಾವು ಇಂತಹ ಮಹಾ ವಿಪತ್ತಿಗೆ ಒಳಗಾದೆವು.
