यद् वः संकल्पितं रूपं मनसा यस्य यादृशम् | तादृशं तादृशं सर्वे छन््दतो धारयिष्यथ,“तथा तुममेंसे जो-जो मनसे जैसा संकल्प करेगा, वह इच्छानुसार वैसा-वैसा ही रूप धारण कर सकेगा
yad vaḥ saṅkalpitaṃ rūpaṃ manasā yasya yādṛśam | tādṛśaṃ tādṛśaṃ sarve chandato dhārayiṣyatha ||
ವೈಶಂಪಾಯನನು ಹೇಳಿದನು— “ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನು ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವ ರೂಪವನ್ನು ಹೇಗೆ ಸಂಕಲ್ಪಿಸುತ್ತಾನೋ, ಇಚ್ಛೆಯಂತೆ ಅದೇ ಅದೇ ರೂಪವನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಬಲ್ಲನು.”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights the potency of saṅkalpa (mental resolve): when a boon or power is granted, the mind’s intention becomes the determining cause for the form one can manifest—emphasizing disciplined will and purposeful choice.
In Vaiśampāyana’s narration, a boon-like assurance is being given to a group: each person will be able to take on whatever form they mentally conceive, according to their own desire.
