Educational Q&A

Deliberate wrongdoing should not be excused by claiming ignorance after the fact; when intent is present and deception follows, justice requires firm punishment even for minor offences, to protect dharma and social order.

In a didactic statement within the Vana Parva context, the speaker argues for strict accountability: people who knowingly commit an offence and then misrepresent it as unintentional are to be treated as unruly sinners deserving punishment.
