नियच्छैनां मतिं राजन्‌ धर्मार्थसुखनाशिनीम्‌ | यशःप्रतापवीर्यघ्नीं शत्रूणां हर्षवर्धनीम्‌

Transliteration

niyacchaināṁ matiṁ rājan dharmārthasukhanāśinīm | yaśaḥpratāpavīryaghnīṁ śatrūṇāṁ harṣavardhanīm ||

Translation

“ರಾಜನ್! ಈ ಮನಸ್ಸಿನ ಉದ್ದೇಶವನ್ನು ತಡೆ. ಇದು ಧರ್ಮ, ಅರ್ಥ, ಸುಖಗಳನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ; ಯಶಸ್ಸು, ಪ್ರತಾಪ, ವೀರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲುತ್ತದೆ; ಮತ್ತು ಶತ್ರುಗಳ ಹರ್ಷವನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.”
