तानि सर्वाणि वाक्यानि यच्चान्यत् परिदेवितम् । विचिन्त्य नाधिगच्छामि गमनायेतराय वा
tāni sarvāṇi vākyāni yac cānyat paridevitam | vicintya nādhigacchāmi gamanāyetarāya vā ||
ಆ ಎಲ್ಲ ವಚನಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಇನ್ನೇನು ಪರಿದೇವನೆ ನಡೆದಿತ್ತೋ ಅದನ್ನೂ ಚಿಂತಿಸಿದರೂ—ನಾನು ನಿರ್ಣಯಕ್ಕೆ ಬರಲಾರೆ: ಹೋಗಬೇಕೋ, ಇಲ್ಲವೇ ಬೇರೆ ಮಾರ್ಗವೋ.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Even after hearing many arguments and expressions of grief, one may still fail to discern the dharmically best course; the verse highlights the need for clearer discernment beyond emotion and conflicting counsel.
The narrator reports a moment of unresolved deliberation: after considering all that was said and the accompanying lamentation, no definite conclusion is reached about whether to depart or to choose an alternative course.
