दुर्योधनस्य प्रायोपवेशः — शकुनिसान्त्वनम् तथा कृत्याह्वानम्
Duryodhana’s Fast: Śakuni’s Consolation and the Summoning of a Kṛtyā
वचो भीष्मस्य राज्ञक्ष निशम्य गमन प्रति । व्यवसायं करिष्येडहमनुनीय पितामहम्,“पितामह भीष्मजीकी तथा महाराजकी वहाँ जानेके विषयमें क्या सम्मति है; यह सुन लेनेपर पितामहको अनुनय-विनयसे राजी करके (उनकी आज्ञा लेकर ही) द्वैतवनमें चलनेका निश्चय करूँगा'
vaiśampāyana uvāca | vaco bhīṣmasya rājñaś ca niśamya gamana-prati | vyavasāyaṁ kariṣye ’ham anunīya pitāmaham ||
ವೈಶಂಪಾಯನನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಭೀಷ್ಮ ಪಿತಾಮಹನೂ ರಾಜನೂ ಗಮನೆಯ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಳಿದ ವಚನಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ, ಪಿತಾಮಹನನ್ನು ವಿನಯದಿಂದ ಮನವೊಲಿಸಿ ಅವರ ಅನುಮತಿ ಪಡೆದು ಮಾತ್ರ ನಾನು ದ್ವೈತವನಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುವ ನಿರ್ಧಾರ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ।
