नानाप्रहरणं घोरमदृश्यत महद् बलम् | तद् वै घोरमसंख्येयं गर्जच्च विविधा गिर:
nānāpraharaṇaṁ ghoraṁ adṛśyata mahad balam | tad vai ghoraṁ asaṅkhyeyaṁ garjacca vividhā giraḥ ||
ನಾನಾವಿಧ ಆಯುಧಗಳಿಂದ ಸಜ್ಜಿತವಾದ ಒಂದು ಮಹತ್ತಾದ, ಭಯಂಕರ ಸೇನೆ ಕಾಣಿಸಿತು. ಅದು ನಿಜಕ್ಕೂ ಅತಿಭೀಕರವೂ ಅಸಂಖ್ಯವೂ ಆಗಿ, ವಿವಿಧ ಭಾಷೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂಗಿ ಗರ್ಜಿಸುತ್ತಿತ್ತು.
