दर्श च पौर्णमासं च यस्य तिछेत्‌ प्रतिष्ठितम्‌ । इष्टिरष्टाकपालेन कार्या पथिकृतेडग्नये

Transliteration

darśaṁ ca paurṇamāsaṁ ca yasya tiṣṭhet pratiṣṭhitam | iṣṭir aṣṭākapālena kāryā pathikṛte 'gnaye ||

Translation

ಮಾರ್ಕಂಡೇಯನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ದರ್ಶ ಮತ್ತು ಪೌರ್ಣಮಾಸ ವಿಧಿಗಳನ್ನು ವಿಧಿವತ್ತಾಗಿ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿರುವವನು, ಮಣ್ಣಿನ ಎಂಟು ಕಪಾಲಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತ ಹವಿಸ್ಸನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡಿ ‘ಪಥಿಕೃತ್’ ಎಂಬ ಅಗ್ನಿಗೆ ಇಷ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡಬೇಕು.
