Transliteration

Mārkaṇḍeya uvāca: hanta te ’haṃ samākhyāsye praśnam etam sudurvacam | tattvena bharataśreṣṭha gadatas tan nibodha me ||

Translation

ಮಾರ್ಕಂಡೇಯನು ಹೇಳಿದರು—ಭರತಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠನೇ! ಈ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗೆ ಉತ್ತರಿಸುವುದು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಕಷ್ಟ; ಆದರೂ ಈಗ ನಾನು ಇದನ್ನು ಯಥಾರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ವಿವರಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. ನಾನು ಹೇಳುವಾಗ ಅದರ ತತ್ತ್ವವನ್ನು ಗ್ರಹಿಸು.
