नैके युगसहस्रान्तास्त्वया दृष्टा महामुने । न चापीह सम: कश्रिदायुष्मान् दृश्यते तव,“महामुने! आपने हजार-हजार युगोंके अन्तमें होनेवाले अनेक महाप्रलयके दृश्य देखे हैं। इस संसारमें आपके समान बड़ी आयुवाला दूसरा कोई पुरुष नहीं दिखायी देता
naike yugasahasrāntās tvayā dṛṣṭā mahāmune | na cāpīha samaḥ kaścid āyuṣmān dṛśyate tava ||
ಓ ಮಹಾಮುನೇ! ನೀವು ಯುಗಸಹಸ್ರಾಂತಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಭವಿಸುವ ಅನೇಕ ಮಹಾಪ್ರಳಯಗಳ ದೃಶ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕಂಡಿದ್ದೀರಿ; ಈ ಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಮಾನ ದೀರ್ಘಾಯುಷ್ಯವಂತನು ಇನ್ನಾರೂ ಕಾಣುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
