अजुन उवाच शृणु हन्त महाराज विधिना येन दृष्टवान् | शतक्रतुमहं देव॑ं भगवन्तं च शड्करम्,अर्जुन बोले--महाराज! मैंने जिस विधिसे देवराज इन्द्र तथा भगवान् शंकरका दर्शन किया था, वह सब बतलाता हूँ, सुनिये! शत्रुओंका मर्दन करनेवाले नरेश! आपकी बतायी हुई विद्याको ग्रहण करके आपहीके आदेशसे मैं तपस्या करनेके लिये वनकी ओर प्रस्थित हुआ
arjuna uvāca: śṛṇu hanta mahārāja vidhinā yena dṛṣṭavān | śatakratum ahaṃ devaṃ bhagavantaṃ ca śaṅkaram ||
ಅರ್ಜುನನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಮಹಾರಾಜನೇ, ಕೇಳು; ನಾನು ಶತಕ್ರತು ದೇವರಾಜ ಇಂದ್ರನನ್ನೂ ಭಗವಾನ್ ಶಂಕರನನ್ನೂ ದರ್ಶನ ಮಾಡಿದ ವಿಧಾನವನ್ನು ನಾನು ವಿವರಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.
