Indraloka-gamana
प्राप्रुवन्ति गतिं होतां यतीनां भावितात्मनाम् | नतं ज्योतींषि सर्वाणि प्राप्प भासन्ति पाण्डव
prāpruvanti gatiṃ hotāṃ yatīnāṃ bhāvitātmanām | nataṃ jyotīṃṣi sarvāṇi prāpya bhāsanti pāṇḍava ||
ವೈಶಂಪಾಯನನು ಹೇಳಿದನು— ಅವರು ಆ ನಿಯತ ಗತಿಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಅದು ಸಂಯಮಿಗಳಾದ, ಭಾವಿತಾತ್ಮ ಯತಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಲಭಿಸುವ ಸ್ಥಿತಿ. ಓ ಪಾಂಡವ, ಅಲ್ಲಿ ತಲುಪಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಎಲ್ಲ ಜ್ಯೋತಿಗಳೂ ನಮನಿಸಿದಂತೆ ಪ್ರಕಾಶಿಸುತ್ತವೆ.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Inner cultivation (bhāvitātman) and disciplined renunciation (yati-dharma) lead to a ‘gati’—a rightful, ordained spiritual destination—suggesting that ethical self-mastery culminates in an elevated state recognized by the cosmic order.
Vaiśaṃpāyana addresses Yudhiṣṭhira (Pāṇḍava), describing the exalted end attained by purified ascetics; the imagery of all luminaries shining in reverence underscores the grandeur and legitimacy of that attainment.
