दमो दान बल बुद्धि्नीर्धतिस्तेज उत्तमम् । एतान्यपि महासत्त्वे स्थितान्यमिततेजसि,अमित तेजस्वी और महान् सत्त्वशाली अर्जुनमें दम (इन्द्रिय-संयम), दान, बल, बुद्धि, लज्जा, धैर्य तथा उत्तम तेज--ये सभी सदगुण विद्यमान हैं
damo dāna bala buddhir nīr-dhṛtis teja uttamam | etāny api mahāsattve sthitāny amit-tejasi |
ಧನದನು ಹೇಳಿದರು—ಇಂದ್ರಿಯಸಂಯಮ, ದಾನ, ಬಲ, ಬುದ್ಧಿ, ಲಜ್ಜೆ, ಧೃತಿಯುಕ್ತ ಸಹನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪರಮ ತೇಜಸ್ಸು—ಈ ಸದುಗುಣಗಳೆಲ್ಲವೂ ಮಹಾಸತ್ತ್ವವೂ ಅಪಾರ ಪ್ರಕಾಶವೂಳ್ಳ ಅರ್ಜುನನಲ್ಲಿ ದೃಢವಾಗಿ ನೆಲೆಗೊಂಡಿವೆ.
