Vaiśampāyana said: Hearing the great-souled Hanumān’s words, Bhīmasena replied with a heart overflowing with joy: “O foremost of monkeys, you have accomplished everything for my sake. May well-being be yours, O mighty-armed one. I ask only this of you—be gracious to me; let your favor remain upon me.”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights dharmic gratitude and humility: even a mighty hero like Bhīma acknowledges help received, offers auspicious blessings in return, and seeks the elder’s continuing goodwill rather than demanding further boons.
After hearing Hanumān’s words, Bhīma responds joyfully, praising Hanumān as the foremost of monkeys, declaring his task fulfilled through Hanumān’s aid, and requesting only Hanumān’s continued favor and grace.
