ūrū rājñaḥ samāsādya kapotaḥ śyenajād bhayāt | śaraṇārthī tadā rājan nililye bhayapīḍitaḥ ||
ಗಿಡುಗನ ಭಯದಿಂದ ನಡುಗಿದ ಆ ಪಾರಿವಾಳವು ರಾಜನ ಊರುಗಳ (ಮಡಿಲು) ಬಳಿಗೆ ಓಡಿ ಬಂತು. ಶರಣಾರ್ಥಿಯಾದ ಅದು, ಓ ರಾಜನೇ, ಭಯಪೀಡಿತವಾಗಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಅಡಗಿತು.
