अध्याय ८ — शल्यस्य सत्कारः, वरदानं, पाण्डवसमागमश्च (Śalya’s Reception, the Boon, and Meeting the Pāṇḍavas)
युधिछिर उवाच सुकृतं ते कृतं राजनू् प्रह्ृष्टेनान्तरात्मना । दुर्योधनस्य यद् वीर त्वया वाचा प्रतिश्रुतम्,युधिष्ठिर बोले--वीर महाराज! आपने प्रसन्नचित्त होकर जो दुर्योधनको उसकी सहायताका वचन दे दिया, वह अच्छा ही किया
yudhiṣṭhira uvāca sukṛtaṃ te kṛtaṃ rājan prahṛṣṭenāntarātmanā | duryodhanasya yad vīra tvayā vācā pratiśrutam ||
ಯುಧಿಷ್ಠಿರನು ಹೇಳಿದರು—ಓ ವೀರ ರಾಜನೇ! ಹರ್ಷಿತ ಅಂತರಾತ್ಮದಿಂದ ನೀನು ದುರ್ಯೋಧನನಿಗೆ ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡುವೆನೆಂದು ನೀಡಿದ ವಚನವು ನಿಜಕ್ಕೂ ಸತ್ಕಾರ್ಯವೇ ಆಗಿದೆ।
