दैवं तु न मया शक्यं कर्म कर्तु कथंचन । मैं पुरुषार्थसे जितना हो सकता है
daivaṃ tu na mayā śakyaṃ karma kartuṃ kathaṃcana |
ಅರ್ಜುನನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ದೈವವಿಧಾನವನ್ನು ನಾನು ಯಾವ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲೂ ಮಾಡಲೂ ಬದಲಿಸಲೂ ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ. ನಾನು ಪುರುಷಾರ್ಥದಿಂದ ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾದಷ್ಟು ಸಂಧಿ ಸ್ಥಾಪನೆಗಾಗಿ ಅತ್ಯಧಿಕವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸುವೆ; ಆದರೆ ಪ್ರಾರಬ್ಧದ ವಿಧಿಯನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸುವುದು ಅಥವಾ ಬದಲಿಸುವುದು ನನ್ನ ಶಕ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿಲ್ಲ.
