Nakula’s Adaptive Counsel to Kṛṣṇa in the Kuru Assembly (उद्योगपर्व, अध्याय ७८)
सर्वथा तु मया कार्य धर्मराजस्य शासनम् | विभाव्यं तस्य भूयश्व कर्म पापं दुरात्मन:
sarvathā tu mayā kāryaṃ dharmarājasya śāsanam | vibhāvyaṃ tasya bhūyaś ca karma pāpaṃ durātmanaḥ ||
ಎಲ್ಲ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲೂ ನಾನು ಧರ್ಮರಾಜನ ಆಜ್ಞೆಯನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸಬೇಕು. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋಗಿ ಮೊದಲು ಸಂಧಿಗಾಗಿ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು; ಅದು ಸಫಲವಾಗದಿದ್ದರೆ, ದುಷ್ಟಮನಸ್ಸಿನ ದುರ್ಯೋಧನನ ಪಾಪಕರ್ಮಗಳಿಗೆ ದಂಡವನ್ನು ಹೇಗೆ ವಿಧಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಮತ್ತೆ ವಿಚಾರಿಸಬೇಕು.
