ईषत् कार्यो वधस्तस्य यस्य चारित्रमीदृशम् | प्रस्कन्देन प्रतिस्तब्धश्छिन्नमूल इव द्रुम:
īṣat kāryo vadhastasya yasya cāritram īdṛśam | praskandena pratistabdhaś chinnamūla iva drumaḥ |
ಯುಧಿಷ್ಠಿರನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಇಂತಹ ದುರಾಚಾರಿಯ ವಧೆ ನಿಜಕ್ಕೂ ಸುಲಭ. ಬೇರು ಕತ್ತರಿಸಿ ಕೇವಲ ಆಧಾರಕ್ಕೆ ನಿಂತಿರುವ ಮರವು ಶೀಘ್ರವೇ ಬೀಳುವಂತೆ, ದುರ್ಯೋಧನನ ಪತನವೂ ಇನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಕಾಲ ತಡವಾಗದು।
