Udyoga Parva 63: Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Counsel Reminding Duryodhana of Opponent Strength
उस जालमें दो ऐसे पक्षी फँस गये, जो सदा साथ-साथ उड़ने और विचरनेवाले थे। वे दोनों पक्षी उस समय उस जालको लेकर आकाशमें उड़ चले ।।
tau vihāyasam ākrāntau dṛṣṭvā vai śākuniḥ tadā | anvadhāvad anirviṇṇo yena yena sama gacchataḥ ||
ಒಂದೇ ಬಲೆಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿ ಸದಾ ಜೊತೆಯಾಗಿ ಹಾರಾಡುವ ಆ ಎರಡು ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳು ಆ ಬಲೆಯನ್ನೇ ಹೊತ್ತು ಆಕಾಶಕ್ಕೆ ಹಾರಿದವು. ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಆಕಾಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾರುತ್ತಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಕಂಡರೂ ಪಕ್ಷಿಬೇಟೆಗಾರನು ಮನಸ್ಸು ಕುಗ್ಗಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಅವು ಎಡೆಎಡೆಗೂ ಒಂದಾಗಿ ಹೋದಂತೆ, ಅವನು ನಿರಾಶೆಯಾಗದೆ ಅವರ ಹಿಂದೆ ಓಡುತ್ತಲೇ ಇದ್ದನು.
