Udyoga-parva Adhyāya 50 — Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Appraisal of Bhīmasena (भीमसेनभयवर्णनम्)

स वै शोचामि सर्वान्‌ वै ये युयुत्सन्ति पाण्डवै: । विक्रुष्टं विदुरेणादौ तदेतद्‌ भयमागतम्‌,जो लोग पाण्डवोंसे युद्ध करना चाहते हैं, उन सबके लिये मुझे बड़ा शोक हो रहा है। विदुरने पहले ही उच्चस्वरसे जिसकी घोषणा की थी, वही यह भय आज आ पहुँचा है

sa vai śocāmi sarvān vai ye yuyutsanti pāṇḍavaiḥ | vikruṣṭaṃ vidureṇādau tad etad bhayam āgatam ||

ಧೃತರಾಷ್ಟ್ರನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಪಾಂಡವರ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಯುದ್ಧ ಮಾಡಲು ಉತ್ಸುಕರಾಗಿರುವ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗಾಗಿ ನನಗೆ ಮಹಾಶೋಕವಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ। ವಿದುರನು ಮೊದಲೇ ಜೋರಾಗಿ ಘೋಷಿಸಿದ್ದ ಆ ಭಯವೇ ಇಂದು ನಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಂದಿದೆ।
