तदा देवासुरे युद्धे भये जाते दिवौकसाम् | अयाचत महात्मानौ नरनारायणौ वरम्
tadā devāsure yuddhe bhaye jāte divaukasām | ayācata mahātmānau naranārāyaṇau varam |
ಆ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವಾಸುರ ಯುದ್ಧವು ಉದ್ಭವಿಸಿ, ದಿವೌಕಸರಿಗೆ ಮಹಾಭಯ ಉಂಟಾಯಿತು; ಆಗ ಅವರು ಮಹಾತ್ಮರಾದ ನರ-ನಾರಾಯಣರಿಂದ ವರವನ್ನು ಯಾಚಿಸಿದರು.
