समा गुरौ यथा वृत्तिर्गुरुपत्न्यां तथा55चरेत्‌ । तत्युत्रे च तथा कुर्वन्‌ द्वितीय: पाद उच्यते

Transliteration

samā gurau yathā vṛttir guru-patnyāṃ tathā caret | tat-putre ca tathā kurvan dvitīyaḥ pāda ucyate ||

Translation

ಗುರುವಿನತ್ತ ಹೇಗೆ ವರ್ತಿಸುತ್ತಾನೋ, ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಗುರುಪತ್ನಿಯತ್ತವೂ ವರ್ತಿಸಬೇಕು. ಗುರುಪುತ್ರನತ್ತವೂ ಅದೇ ರೀತಿಯಾಗಿ ನಡೆದುಕೊಂಡರೆ—ಇದು ಎರಡನೇ ಪಾದವೆಂದು ಹೇಳಲ್ಪಡುತ್ತದೆ.
