शिष्यवृत्तिक्रमेणैव विद्यामाप्रोति यः शुचि: । ब्रह्मचर्यव्रतस्यास्य प्रथम: पाद उच्यते

Transliteration

śiṣyavṛttikrameṇaiva vidyām āpnoti yaḥ śuciḥ | brahmacaryavratasya asya prathamaḥ pāda ucyate ||

Translation

ಶಿಷ್ಯವೃತ್ತಿಯ ಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸಿ ಶುದ್ಧಮನಸ್ಸಿನಿಂದ ವಿದ್ಯೆಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುವವನೇ—ಈ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಚರ್ಯವ್ರತದ ಮೊದಲ ಪಾದವೆಂದು ಹೇಳಲ್ಪಡುತ್ತದೆ.
