अन्निहोत्रफला वेदा: शीलवृत्तफलं श्रुवम् । रतिपुत्रफला नारी दत्तभुक्तफलं धनम्,वेदोंका फल है अग्निहोत्र करना, शास्त्राध्ययनका फल है सुशीलता और सदाचार, सत्रीका फल है रतिसुख और पुत्रकी प्राप्ति तथा धनका फल है दान और उपभोग
agnihotraphalā vedāḥ śīlavṛttaphalaṃ śrutam | ratiputraphalā nārī dattabhukta-phalaṃ dhanam ||
ವಿದುರನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ—ವೇದಗಳ ಫಲ ಅಗ್ನಿಹೋತ್ರ; ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಶ್ರವಣ-ಅಧ್ಯಯನದ ಫಲ ಶೀಲ ಮತ್ತು ಸದಾಚಾರ; ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯ ಫಲ ದಾಂಪತ್ಯಸೌಖ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಪುತ್ರಪ್ರಾಪ್ತಿ; ಧನದ ಫಲ ದಾನ ಹಾಗೂ ಯುಕ್ತವಾದ ಭೋಗ.
