उद्योगपर्व — विदुरनीतिः (Adhyāya 37): आयुःक्षयहेतवः, नीतिसूत्राणि, बलभेदाः, पाण्डव-विग्रहदोषदर्शनम्
नित्यं सन्तः कुले जाता: पावकोपमतेजस:
nityaṁ santaḥ kule jātāḥ pāvakopama-tejasaḥ
ವಿದುರನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ—ಈ ವಂಶದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿತ್ಯವೂ ನಿಜವಾದ ಸತ್ಪುರುಷರು ಜನ್ಮಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಅವರ ತೇಜಸ್ಸು ಅಗ್ನಿಯಂತಿದೆ. ಅಂದರೆ ಶೀಲ ಮತ್ತು ಧರ್ಮಬಲವು ಯಾದೃಚ್ಛಿಕವಲ್ಲ; ಅದು ಪುನಃಪುನಃ ಪ್ರಕಟವಾಗುವ ವಂಶಪಾರಂಪರ್ಯ—ಇಂದಿನ ಆಯ್ಕೆಗಳಿಗೆ ದಾರಿ ತೋರಬೇಕಾದದ್ದು.
