कामार्थलाभेन तथैव भूयो न तृप्यते सर्पिषेवाग्निरिद्ध: । विषयोंका चिन्तन अपने शरीरको पीड़ा देता है। जो विषय-चिन्तनसे सर्वथा मुक्त है
kāmārthalābhena tathaiva bhūyo na tṛpyate sarpiṣevāgniriddhaḥ |
ಸಂಜಯನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಕಾಮ್ಯವಸ್ತುಗಳೂ ಧನಲಾಭವೂ ದೊರೆತರೂ ಮನುಷ್ಯ ತೃಪ್ತನಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ತುಪ್ಪ ಸುರಿದಂತೆ ಜ್ವಲಿಸುವ ಅಗ್ನಿ ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು ಉರಿಯುವಂತೆ, ವಿಷಯಭೋಗ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಪತ್ತಿನ ಲಾಭದಿಂದ ತೃಷ್ಣೆ ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು ಹೆಚ್ಚುತ್ತದೆ, ಶಮನವಾಗದು.
