Sañjaya’s Envoy-Speech on Peace
जानासि त्वं क्लेशमस्मासु वृत्तं त्वां पूजयन् संजयाहं क्षमेयम् | यच्चास्माकं कौरवैर्भूतपूर्व या नो वृत्तिर्धार्तराष्ट्र तदा5डसीत्
jānāsi tvaṃ kleśam asmāsu vṛttaṃ tvāṃ pūjayan saṃjaya ahaṃ kṣameyam | yac cāsmākaṃ kauravair bhūtapūrvaṃ yā no vṛttir dhārtarāṣṭra tadā āsīt, saṃjaya |
ಸಂಜಯನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಕೌರವರ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದ ನಮಗೆ ಹಿಂದೆ ಸಂಭವಿಸಿದ ಕಷ್ಟವನ್ನು ನೀನು ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ತಿಳಿದಿದ್ದೀಯ. ಆದರೂ, ಸಂಜಯ, ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಗೌರವಿಸಿ ನಾನು ಅವರ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಅಪರಾಧಗಳನ್ನು ಕ್ಷಮಿಸಬಲ್ಲೆ. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಧೃತರಾಷ್ಟ್ರನ ಪುತ್ರರು ಪೂರ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮೊಡನೆ ಹೇಗೆ ವರ್ತಿಸಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಆಗ ನಾವು ಅವರೊಡನೆ ಹೇಗೆ ನಡೆದೆವು—ಇದೂ ನಿನಗೆ ಅಡಗಿಲ್ಲ.
