Drupada’s Alarm and Inquiry Regarding Śikhaṇḍinī (द्रुपदस्य भय-विमर्शः)
उद्धरिष्यामि ते सद्यः: सामात्यसुतबान्धवम् | “राजन! वीरवर राजा हिरण्यवर्माने जो संदेश दिया है
uddhariṣyāmi te sadyaḥ sāmātya-suta-bāndhavam |
ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನಾನು ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ—ಮಂತ್ರಿಗಳು, ಪುತ್ರರು ಮತ್ತು ಬಂಧುಗಳೊಡನೆ—ಮೂಲಸಹಿತ ಉರುಳಿಸಿಬಿಡುವೆನು. ರಾಜನೇ! ಹಿರಣ್ಯವರ್ಮನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ ಸಂದೇಶವನ್ನು ಕೇಳು. ಪಾಪಾಚಾರಿ, ದುರ್ಬುದ್ಧಿ ನೃಪನೇ! ನಿನ್ನ ಪುತ್ರಿಯಿಂದ ನಾನು ಮೋಸಹೋಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಆದರೆ ಆ ಪಾಪವನ್ನು ನೀನೇ ಮಾಡಿಸಿದ್ದೀ—ಆದುದರಿಂದ ಅದರ ಫಲವನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸು. ನರೇಶ್ವರನೇ! ರಣಭೂಮಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ನನಗೆ ಯುದ್ಧಾವಕಾಶ ನೀಡು. ನಾನು ಮಂತ್ರಿ, ಪುತ್ರ, ಬಂಧುಗಳೊಡನೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಕುಲವನ್ನೇ ಬೇರುಸಹಿತ ಕಿತ್ತುಹಾಕುವೆನು.
