अत-४-छका+ द्विसप्तत्याधेकशततमो< ध्याय: भीष्मका पाण्डवपक्षके अतिरथी वीरोंका वर्णन करते हुए शिखण्डी और पाण्डवोंका वध न करनेका कथन भीष्म उवाच रोचमानो महाराज पाण्डवानां महारथ: । योत्स्यते5मरवत्‌ संख्ये परसैन्येषु भारत,भीष्मजी कहते हैं--महाराज! भारत! पाण्डवपक्षमें राजा रोचमान महारथी हैं। वे युद्धमें शत्रुसेनाके साथ देवताओंके समान पराक्रम दिखाते हुए युद्ध करेंगे

Bhīṣma uvāca | Rocamāno mahārāja pāṇḍavānāṁ mahārathaḥ | yotsyate ’maravat saṅkhye parasainyeṣu Bhārata ||

ಭೀಷ್ಮನು ಹೇಳಿದರು—ಮಹಾರಾಜ, ಹೇ ಭಾರತ! ಪಾಂಡವರ ಪಕ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ರೋಚಮಾನನೆಂಬ ರಾಜನು ಮಹಾರಥನು. ಅವನು ಯುದ್ಧದಲ್ಲಿ ಶತ್ರುಸೈನ್ಯಗಳ ನಡುವೆ ದೇವತೆಗಳಂತೆ ಪರಾಕ್ರಮ ತೋರಿಸಿ ಹೋರಾಡುವನು।
