भीष्म–दुर्योधनसंवादः — शिखण्डिनं न हन्तुं कारणकथनम्
Amba-ākhyāna prologue
सत्यजित् समरश्लाघी ट्रुपदस्यात्मजो युवा । गत: सो5तिरथत्वं हि धृष्टद्युम्नेन सम्मित:
Satyajit samaraślāghī Drupadasyātmajo yuvā | gataḥ so 'tirathatvaṃ hi Dhṛṣṭadyumnena samitaḥ ||
ಭೀಷ್ಮನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಸಮರದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಶಂಸನೀಯ ಶೌರ್ಯವಿರುವ ದ್ರುಪದನ ಯೌವನ ಪುತ್ರ ಸತ್ಯಜಿತನು, ಧೃಷ್ಟದ್ಯುಮ್ನನಿಗೆ ಸಮಾನವಾದ ಅತಿರಥ ಸ್ಥಾನವನ್ನು ನಿಜವಾಗಿಯೂ ಪಡೆದಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
