Sāma–Bheda–Daṇḍa
यवीयांसं तत: पूरं पुत्र स््ववशवर्तिनम् । राज्ये निवेशयामास विधेयं नृपसत्तम:
yavīyāṁsaṁ tataḥ pūraṁ putra svavaśavartinam | rājye niveśayāmāsa vidheyaṁ nṛpasattamaḥ ||
ಆಮೇಲೆ ನೃಪಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠನು ತನ್ನ ವಶದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಾಲಕನಾದ ಕಿರಿಯ ಪುತ್ರ ಪೂರುನನ್ನು ರಾಜ್ಯಸಿಂಹಾಸನದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಾಪಿಸಿದನು।
वायुदेव उवाच
Legitimate rule is entrusted to a successor who is disciplined and responsive to rightful authority; obedience and fitness for duty are presented as ethical qualifications for governance.
Vāyudeva narrates that the king appoints his younger son Pūru to the throne because Pūru is compliant and capable of being guided, indicating a deliberate choice of successor based on character and governability.
