स त्वं परिवृतः पार्थन्नक्षत्रैरिव चन्द्रमा: । प्रशाधि राज्यं कौन्तेय कुन्तीं च प्रतिनन्दय,कुन्तीकुमार! नक्षत्रोंसे घिरे हुए चन्द्रमाकी भाँति तुम अपने अन्य भाइयोंसे घिरे रहकर राज्यका पालन और कुन्तीको आनन्दित करो
sa tvaṁ parivṛtaḥ pārthann akṣatrair iva candramāḥ | praśādhi rājyaṁ kaunteya kuntīṁ ca pratinandaya, kuntīkumāra |
ಓ ಪಾರ್ಥ! ನಕ್ಷತ್ರಗಳಿಂದ ಆವರಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಚಂದ್ರನಂತೆ, ನೀನು ಸಹ ಸಹೋದರರಿಂದ ಸುತ್ತುವರಿದವನಾಗಿ ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ಸುಶಾಸನದಿಂದ ನಡೆಸು. ಓ ಕುಂತೀಪುತ್ರ! ಸ್ಥಿರಚಿತ್ತದಿಂದ ಆಳಿ ತಾಯಿ ಕುಂತಿಗೆ ಸಂತೋಷವೂ ಧೈರ್ಯವೂ ನೀಡು.
