कर्ण–कृष्णसंवादः (Karṇa–Kṛṣṇa-saṃvādaḥ) — Karṇa’s Statement on Lineage, Loyalty, and the ‘Śastra-yajña’ Metaphor

पितृपक्षे च ते पार्था मातृपक्षे च वृष्णय: । दौ पक्षावभिजानीहि त्वमेतौ पुरुषर्षभ,पिताके पक्षमें कुन्तीके सभी पुत्र तुम्हारे सहायक हैं और मातृपक्षमें समस्त वृष्णिवंशी तुम्हारे साथ हैं। पुरुषश्रेष्ठ! तुम अपने इन दोनों पक्षोंको जान लो

pitṛpakṣe ca te pārthā mātṛpakṣe ca vṛṣṇayaḥ | dvau pakṣāv abhijānīhi tvam etau puruṣarṣabha ||

ವಾಯು ಹೇಳಿದರು—“ನಿನ್ನ ಪಿತೃಪಕ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾರ್ಥರು ಇದ್ದಾರೆ; ನಿನ್ನ ಮಾತೃಪಕ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ವೃಷ್ಣಿಗಳು ಇದ್ದಾರೆ. ಓ ಪುರುಷಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠಾ! ಈ ಎರಡೂ ಪಕ್ಷಗಳನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನದೇ ಎಂದು ಅರಿತುಕೋ.”
