उद्योगपर्व — अध्याय १३५: कुन्त्याः कृष्णं प्रति संदेशः
Kuntī’s Message to Kṛṣṇa
अतृप्यन्नमृतस्येव कृच्छाल्लब्धस्य बान्धवात् | उद्यच्छाम्येष शत्रूणां नियमाय जयाय च
atṛpyann amṛtasyeva kṛcchrāl labdhasya bāndhavāt | udyacchāmy eṣa śatrūṇāṃ niyamāya jayāya ca ||
ಬಂಧುವಿನಿಂದ ಬಹು ಕಷ್ಟದಿಂದ ದೊರಕಿದ ಅಮೃತದಂತೆ, ನಿನ್ನ ಅಮೃತಸಮಾನ ವಚನಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿಯೂ ನಾನು ತೃಪ್ತನಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ. ನೋಡು—ಈಗ ನಾನು ಬಂಧು-ಬಾಂಧವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಎದ್ದು, ಶತ್ರುಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಯಮಕ್ಕೆ ತಂದು ದಮನಿಸಿ ಜಯವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯಲು ಉದ್ಯಮಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
पुत्र उवाच
The verse highlights how rare, hard-won wise counsel can be as precious as nectar, and how such counsel should culminate in disciplined action—restraining wrongdoing and pursuing rightful victory rather than impulsive violence.
A son speaks of having heard exceptionally valuable words from a relative after much difficulty; far from being satisfied, he is stirred to decisive effort, declaring that he will now act with his kinsmen to bring enemies under control and achieve victory.
