संनिधौ ते महाराज क्रोधजं पापबुद्धिजम्‌ । 'परंतु भारत! महाराज! आपके समीप मैं क्रोध अथवा पापबुद्धिसे होनेवाला यह निन्दित कर्म नहीं प्रारम्भ करूँगा

Transliteration

sannidhau te mahārāja krodhajaṁ pāpabuddhijam |

Translation

ಹೇ ಭಾರತ! ಮಹಾರಾಜನೇ! ನಿನ್ನ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ರೋಧದಿಂದಲೋ ಪಾಪಬುದ್ಧಿಯಿಂದಲೋ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ ಈ ನಿಂದ್ಯಕರ್ಮವನ್ನು ನಾನು ಆರಂಭಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ಧರ್ಮವನ್ನೇ ಆಶ್ರಯಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.
