Udyoga Parva Adhyāya 103: Garuḍa’s Protest, Viṣṇu’s Demonstration, and Counsel Toward Śama

पुरंदरो5थ संचिन्त्य वैनतेयपराक्रमम्‌ । विष्णुमेवाब्रवीदेनं भवानेव ददात्विति,तब देवराज इन्द्रने गरुड़के पराक्रमका विचार करके भगवान्‌ विष्णुसे कहा--“आप ही इसे उत्तम आयु प्रदान कीजिये”

puraṃdaro 'tha saṃcintya vainateyaparākramam | viṣṇum evābravīd enaṃ bhavān eva dadātv iti ||

ಆಗ ಪುರಂದರ (ಇಂದ್ರ) ವೈನತೇಯ (ಗರುಡ)ನ ಮಹಾಪರಾಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಚಿಂತಿಸಿ, ಕೇವಲ ಭಗವಾನ್ ವಿಷ್ಣುವನ್ನೇ ಉದ್ದೇಶಿಸಿ ಹೇಳಿದನು—“ಈ ವರವನ್ನು ನೀವೇ ದಯಪಾಲಿಸಿರಿ.”
