Svargārohaṇa-parva Adhyāya 2 — Yudhiṣṭhira’s Inquiry for His Kin and the Vision of a Punitive Realm
भीमं च भीमविक्रान्तं प्राणेभ्योडपि प्रियं मम । अर्जुन चेन्द्रसंकाशं यमौ चैव यमोपमौ
bhīmaṃ ca bhīmavikrāntaṃ prāṇebhyo 'pi priyaṃ mama | arjunaṃ cendrasankāśaṃ yamau caiva yamopamau ||
ಯುಧಿಷ್ಠಿರನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ನನಗೆ ಪ್ರಾಣಗಳಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ಪ್ರಿಯನಾದ, ಭೀಕರ ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಿಯ ಭೀಮನನ್ನು ನೋಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಬಯಸುತ್ತೇನೆ; ಇಂದ್ರನಂತೆ ಪ್ರಕಾಶಿಸುವ ಅರ್ಜುನನನ್ನು ನೋಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಬಯಸುತ್ತೇನೆ; ಯಮನಂತೆ ಅಜೇಯರಾದ ಜೋಡಿ ಸಹೋದರರಾದ ನಕುಲ-ಸಹದೇವರನ್ನೂ ನೋಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಬಯಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಧರ್ಮನಿಷ್ಠೆಯಾದ ದೇವಿ ದ್ರೌಪದಿಯನ್ನೂ ದರ್ಶನಮಾಡಲು ಇಚ್ಛಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿಯಲು ನನಗೆ ಅಲ್ಪಮಾತ್ರವೂ ಆಸೆ ಇಲ್ಲ; ಇದನ್ನೇ ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಸತ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ.
