Saṃsāra-Gahana Allegory: The Brāhmaṇa in the Forest and Well (संसारगहन-आख्यान)
तत्रैव च मनुष्यस्य जीविताशा प्रतिष्ठिता । राजन्! उसे अपने उस संकटपूर्ण जीवनसे वैराग्य नहीं हुआ है। उस मनुष्यके मनमें वहीं उसी दशासे जीवित रहकर मधु पीते रहनेकी आशा जड़ जमाये हुए है
tatraiva ca manuṣyasya jīvitāśā pratiṣṭhitā | rājan!
ಅದೇ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಜೀವಿತಾಶೆ ದೃಢವಾಗಿ ನೆಲೆಯೂರುತ್ತದೆ. ರಾಜನೇ! ಆ ಸಂಕಟಭರಿತ ಜೀವನದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವನಿಗೆ ವೈರಾಗ್ಯ ಉಂಟಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಅವನ ಮನಸ್ಸು ಅದೇ ದಶೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತು, ಅಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಬದುಕುತ್ತಾ ಮಧುರರಸವನ್ನು ಆಸ್ವಾದಿಸುತ್ತಿರಬೇಕೆಂಬ ಆಶೆಯನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತದೆ—ಭಯದ ಮಧ್ಯೆಯೂ ಸುಖವನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುತ್ತಾ.
