Treasury Security, Protection of Informants, and the Kalakavṛkṣīya Exemplum (Śānti Parva 83)
सर्वकामान् परित्यज्य तपस्तप्तं तदा मया । स्नेहात् त्वां तु ब्रवीम्येतन्मा भूयो विभ्रमेदिति
sarvakāmān parityajya tapas taptaṁ tadā mayā | snehāt tvāṁ tu bravīmy etan mā bhūyo vibhramed iti ||
ಭೀಷ್ಮನು ಹೇಳಿದನು— ನಾನು ಆಗ ಎಲ್ಲ ಆಸೆಗಳನ್ನು ತ್ಯಜಿಸಿ ತಪಸ್ಸು ಆಚರಿಸಿದೆನು. ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಲಿನ ಸ್ನೇಹದಿಂದಲೇ ಇದನ್ನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ—ನೀನು ಮತ್ತೆ ಮೋಹದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದು ದಾರಿಗೆಡಬಾರದು.
