राजधर्मप्रश्नः — Yudhiṣṭhira’s Inquiry into Rājadharma (Śānti-parva 56)
हयं वा दन्तिनं वापि रथं वा नृपसत्तम | अभिरोहन्त्यनादृत्य हर्षुले पार्थिवे मृदौ
hayaṃ vā dantinaṃ vāpi rathaṃ vā nṛpasattama | abhirohanty anādṛtya harṣule pārthive mṛdau ||
ಭೀಷ್ಮನು ಹೇಳಿದರು—ಓ ನೃಪಸತ್ತಮ! ರಾಜನು ಸ್ವಭಾವತಃ ಮೃದು, ಸಡಿಲ ಮತ್ತು ಪರिहासಪ್ರಿಯನಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ, ಸೇವಕರು ಅವನನ್ನು ಲೆಕ್ಕಿಸದೆ ಅವನ ಕುದುರೆ, ಆನೆ ಅಥವಾ ರಥವನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ಸುಖಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಏರಿ ಬಳಸುತ್ತಾರೆ।
