पुरा मध्याह्नलसमये लोकांस्तपति भास्करे | प्रत्यादित्यप्रतीकाश: सर्वतः समदृश्यत

Transliteration

purā madhyāhna-lasamaye lokāṁs tapati bhāskare | pratyāditya-pratīkāśaḥ sarvataḥ samadṛśyata ||

Translation

ಪುರಾತನ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ—ಮಧ್ಯಾಹ್ನದ ಶಿಥಿಲ ವೇಳೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಸ್ಕರನು ಸಮಸ್ತ ಲೋಕಗಳನ್ನು ತಪಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಗ, ಎರಡನೇ ಸೂರ್ಯನಂತೆ ಪ್ರಕಾಶಿಸುವ ತೇಜಸ್ವಿ ಒಬ್ಬ ಪುರುಷನು ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡನು; ಅವನು ಎಲ್ಲ ದಿಕ್ಕುಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಸಮಾನ ಪ್ರಕಾಶದಿಂದ ದೃಶ್ಯನಾಗಿದ್ದನು.
